Robert G. Uriarte has been licensed to practice law in California since 1983. He received his undergraduate degree from Loyola Marymount University (1980) and his Juris Doctor degree from the U.C.L.A. School of Law 1983). Upon graduation from law school, he clerked for the Honorable William J. Lasarow, then Chief Judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California. Throughout his career Mr. Uriarte has worked for large national and international law firms including Morgan, Lewis and Bockius and Coudert Brothers. Mr. Uriarte brings over 38 years of experience to the firm. He has formerly served as a member of the Panel of Chapter 7 Trustees for the Central District of California in addition to formerly serving as a Receiver in cases before the Los Angeles Superior Courts. He has represented Creditors’ Committees, Chapter 7 Trustees, and has negotiated workout agreements in addition to representing individual and business debtors. He has prepared and successfully argued matters before the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the California Court of Appeals. He has also served as a Judge Pro Tem, sitting in small claims matters for the Los Angeles Superior Court. Additionally, he is an adjunct professor at Mt. San Antonio College for the Business Department teaching classes since 2012 in Bankruptcy, Creditors Rights and Business Law 18 and 19.

As a result he approaches every case with this in mind and seeks to get to a resolution as quickly as possible in order to make the litigation process as economical as possible for his clients.
